Owl Cards - Barn Owl Card

This barn owl card is part of our latest collection of bird cards, and we think the black and white image really accentuates the beauty of the barn owl's feather - even more so on this range of background colours.

The beautiful barn owl with its distinctive heart-shaped face and white feathers is able to hunt on silent wings, swooping down on their prey unannounced;  as the soft fringe along the outside of their flight feathers absorbs the noise of their flight. 

They hunt alongside ditches, tracks and roads, particularly at first dusk and winter can be a great time of year to look, as they often extend their hunting hours into daylight to find the extra food they need to get them through the colder months.
